Our family has moved – a lot. Expensive décor is simply out of the question, and one item that can really eat your decorating budget is art and framing. When we lived in Germany, I started a personal love affair with Ikea that continues to this day. You simply can’t beat the quality for the price. No, I’m not getting compensated by Ikea, and, yes, their product line has its flaws like any other. Yet, one simply can’t beat the quality for the price, and ethically I appreciated their commitment to bringing good design to the masses. As I’ve said before, you shouldn’t have to have lots of money to inhabit a lovely space.
One of my favorite products that is sold by Ikea is the Ribba frame. Ranging in price from $2 (for the smaller ones) to a whopping $20 (for the largest), one can achieve a consolidated sophisticated look without busting their budget. I love the different color options, and the variety of sizes and shapes allow me to create gallery walls with ease and perfection.
I’ve also used the Ribba frame to create magnetic bulletin boards, dry erase boards and various other projects. So the next time you’re in need of an easily incorporated frame to achieve your décor needs, look at the Ribba and you won’t be disappointed! Happy Designing!
