This blog is all about easy, cheap & looking good. No, its not about your high school prom date, we are all about art, design & doing it well for less! Today I have a Christmas decor idea for you, using things you may have already or can purchase cheaply. I always seem to be running out of time for everything. Picking up a Christmas card holder for my already tiny Northern Virginia home just doesn't make the cut - ever! I was frantically running through the Dollar Store a few days ago picking up yet another piece of poster board for yet another last minute school project for one of the kiddos when I came across these wooden clothespins in the laundry aisle. They were only $1, so I thought, "Why not?" I'm so glad I picked them up because we use them to pin/clip Christmas cards to our Christmas tree. I keep a basket of them under the tree & whenever we receive a card in the mail, one of the kids gets to pin it on the tree. Its a super cute way to display the cards that doesn't add to the visual clutter of our decor. It also really makes the tree pop & is a great reminder of all our sweet friends who aren't as lazy as I (Christmas cards just aren't my thing - but I love the idea of it!). Hope this helps some of you out there who may be drowning in their own pile of beautiful cards just waiting to be displayed.
